Dr. Saisi Marasa
Dr Marasa is the founding President of Kenya Diaspora Alliance in the USA. (KDA-USA). He is a passionate community organizer and has led several community organizations including the Baltimore Welfare Association, and Association of International Kenyan Medical Professionals (AIKMP).

Dr. Marasa is a 2014 FDA Commissioner Fellow Program (CFP) graduate. He is currently a Pharmaceutical Scientist with US Food and Drug Admin in Silver Spring MD. Prior to joining FDA; he was a Senior Research Associate at Catholic University of America-D.C where he led research on HIV-1 Immunogen design and HIV-1 vaccine trials. Prior to joining Catholic University of America, he held a three year post-doctoral fellowship at the NIH’s National institute on Aging; at the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Immunology where he worked on post-transcriptional mechanisms involved in aging related cellular stress.
Dr. Marasa holds a Ph.D. In Medical Pathology from University of Maryland, Baltimore, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Vrije Universitiet Brussels-Belgium and a B. Sc (Biochemistry) from Jomo-Kenyatta University-Kenya. He loves to play and coach soccer and serves as a volunteer President in his community welfare organization (Baltimore Minto Welfare Association)serving to empower the youth.
