meet the team
At the heart of KDA-USA is a dynamic leadership team committed to empowering Kenyans across North America. From our elected Advisory Board to our Executive Management Group, every decision is driven by a shared mission: to uplift, unite, and advocate for the social, civic, and economic growth of our diaspora communities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Since our founding in 2016, KDA-USA has stood as a unifying voice for Kenyans across North America. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Delaware, we are driven by one core belief: when the diaspora speaks in one voice, we shape the future—both here in the U.S. and back home in Kenya.
From the fight for the right to vote, to advocating for life, dignity, and self-expression, our community has never wavered. We are proud to have been part of the historic movement that successfully petitioned the IEBC at Kenya’s Supreme Court, securing the diaspora’s right to vote—a landmark victory that continues to define our advocacy.
But our journey doesn’t stop there.
We envision a vibrant, empowered Kenyan diaspora—united in purpose and committed to advancing both our heritage and Kenya’s future. Guided by this vision, we are working to:
Transcend boundaries of geography, tribe, and ideology to bring Kenyans together across North America through shared values and collaboration.
Amplify the voice of the diaspora in shaping policy and promoting equity, justice, and opportunity in both our host countries and Kenya.
Leverage our collective talent and resources to support key sectors such as real estate, healthcare, education, clean energy, food security, and finance.
Celebrate and pass on the rich traditions, language, and heritage of Kenya to future generations—ensuring our identity remains strong and proud.
Collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit institutions in both the U.S. and Kenya to unlock opportunities that benefit all.
Offer educational and skill-building programs that empower individuals and organizations in the diaspora to lead, innovate, and give back.
Engage with global issues as informed, active Kenyan Americans—dedicated to being part of the solution for a better world.
This is more than a statement. It’s a call to action. A reminder that we, the diaspora, are not just witnesses to change—we are leaders of it.
Let us honor the legacy of those who fought before us by boldly building what comes next.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
